چکیده
Abstract It is critical to precisely determine the performance of deep-buried ground heat exchangers involving different geological layers in engineering projects geothermal energy utilization. Compared existing approaches solving only conduction between exchanger and surrounding based on two-dimensional model, this paper established a three-dimensional full-scale coaxial model containing both aquifer aquifuge groundwater effect. The convective transfer pipes was calculated using empirical correlation Nusselt number improve computation efficiency. velocity governing equation assumed be constant along with horizontal direction further simplify computation. developed method applied 2800 m 2600 depth conditions, validated by field test published data. relative errors are less than 6.9%. thermal influence ranges layer close asymmetric about circumferential direction. results demonstrated that necessary for accurately evaluating when there migration.

Effect of Borehole Material on Analytical Solutions of the Heat Transfer Model of Ground Heat Exchangers Considering Groundwater Flow
Abstract: Groundwater flow is one of the most important factors for the design of a ground heat exchanger (GHEX) since the thermal environment of the ground around the buried GHEX is significantly affected by heat convection due to the groundwater flow. Several preceding studies have been conducted to develop analytical solutions to the heat transfer model of GHEX with consideration of groundwa...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Heat Transfer in Three-Dimensional Flow along a Porous Plate
An analysis of heat transfer in the flow of a viscous, in-compressible fluid along an infinite porous plate is presented when the plate is subjected to a transverse sinusoidal suction. The flow field becomes three-dimensional due to this type of suction velocity. Expressions for the flow and temperature fields are obtained by series expansion method. It is found during the course of discussion ...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Turbulent Flow in the Exit Head Section of a Heat Exchanger
Measurements of three-dimensional turbulent flow in the exit head section of a shell-andtube heat exchanger were performed using three-component laser Doppler velocimeter. The test geometry is half of a hemispherical cap with two outlet-tubes and with a cylindrical inlet section. Distributions of the velocity vector field, the three mean velocity components, and the Reynolds stress components a...
متن کاملMHD Three-Dimensional Stagnation-Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a Nanofluid over a Stretching Sheet
In this study, the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer of stagnation-point flow in a nanofluid was investigated. The Navier–Stokes equations were reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using a similarity transform. The similarity equations were solved for three types of nanoparticles: copper, alumina and titania with water as the base fluid, to inve...
